On this
moderately challenging
tour, we'll cycle out of Florence and enter the
enchanting
hillsides of Fiesole.
we'll pass through the charming village of
Settignano,
home of many a Renaissance artist, and the quarries of Maiano, out of which
comes the
"pietra serena", the stone
used to build Florence. Our route will take us through
woods,
olive groves and vineyards to the lovely hilltop town of Fiesole,
our destination for lunch.

we'll be rewarded with
beautiful views of the
Duomo of Florence and the surrounding hillsides and a delightful lunch of
local tuscan specialities.
After lunch, we'll have time to explore Fiesole and It's rich offerings,
including the
Duomo, roman amphitheatre and
panoramic vistas. Then, we'll enjoy some fun descents as we wind our way
down to the Mugnone river valley on our way back to Florence.
