This tour, rated challenging, is spectacular both for its beauty as well as the trails that we follow. With a high percentage of single track, It's a real mountain biker's tour.

we'll transfer by van from Florence to the beautiful stretch of coastline in the Levante Riviera known as the Cinqueterre, named for five dramatically situated villages which cling to the cliffsides.
The ride starts in Levanto, just west of the Cinqueterre, with a climb to the top of Mount Bardellone, situated high above the villages and offering spectacular views of the towns and sea below. Here there is an opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Soviore.

we'll then follow the ridge line along a fantastic single track, with views of the green terraced vineyards that produce the local dry white wine.

we'll stop for lunch in Riomaggiore, the easternmost town, enjoying a delicious meal of Ligurian specialities. After lunch, we can explore on foot this charming village, hemmed in by steep cliffs, with its port and narrow cobble-stone streets.

A lovely descent to Portovenere, named for Venus and considered one of the most romantic villages on the Ligurian coast, will be the grand finale of our adventure in the Cinqueterre.
